Dr. Lucia Capacchione, PhD (1937-2022), was a pioneering art therapist, author, teacher, artist and community-builder. Fueled by a lifetime of seemingly endless creative energy, she was among the earliest clinicians to combine journaling with multi-modal arts to the therapeutic realm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her work developing Lucia Capacchionie’s Creative Journal Expressive Arts\u00ae therapeutic methods over a forty-plus year timespan, touched the lives, hearts, minds and souls of countless individuals, including clients, students and collaborators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her methods distinctly combined visual methods and writing (including non-dominant hand drawing and writing), and other creative activities to take a holistic approach to expressive arts therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucia’s Legacy<\/em><\/strong> is dedicated to honoring Dr. Lucia Capacchione, by sharing a comprehensive collection of her prolific life’s work, artistic endeavors and historical gems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
